The Thinking Apes GmbH was founded October 2007 in Augsburg, Germany by Ulrich Haberl and Roman Wölker to substanciate the ongoing development of professional 3D-software and services with an appropriate economic environment. In March 2008 the company moved to their new office at the Bismarckstr. 3 in 86159 Augsburg, - where all the magic happens quite now ;).

The main focus of the Thinking Appes GmbH is on 3D-related software devlopment, but - since both of the founders are programmers and designers as well - the design part will always stay very important, too. That maybe makes the Thinking Apes something special: Even when developing extremely technical orientated software the team still spends a lot of energy into the design of the graphical user interface and usability in general. The Credo of the company is that software should be as good as even possible, continuous well-designed and fun to work with. The (functional) best software is useless, if no one can understand and use it cause of a confusing user interface.

We're developing software using mostly one of the following (script-) languages:

  (everything - from console applications to network solutions to OpenGL)

• SQL (of course)
